A brief explanation of The Big Bang

Heres a brief and simple explanation of something that is still expanding until today, the universe. I will be using the Big Bang theory as the cosmological blue print for this explanation. This theory is widely accepted by scientists since the 1920's and 30's.

Let's talk about the Big Bang Theory! It states that the universe started out from a very small, dense, and hot condition about 13.7 billion years ago. Think of it as a ball of energy (a primeval atom in Georges Lemaître's word) out to cause a great explosion that would set everything in motion. This caused everything to fly away from everything else with no center point, chaotic isn't it? One could only imagine what great destruction or beauty that might been. As the point (primeval atom) got bigger it caused space and time.

Studies and observations that scientists have made have confirmed the Big Bang model. Other models leave more questions than answers, like the idea of a fine tuned universe, but wait a minute who fine tunes it? See what I mean? To continue, there are various observations that support the Big Bang Theory one of which is the amounts of chemical elements found in the universe. These are hydrogen, helium, and lithium.

Another important evidence is the redshift of very far away galaxies. What redshift actually is that when the light from an object moving away from the earth will look dim While objects moving towards the earth looks will be brighter, or it has gained some energy, compare to an object moving away. This is what we call the doppler effect (is a change in frequency and wavelength of a wave). When redshift is visible we can see how fast the object is moving. And because everything is moving further away from everything else at a rate that has been measured by scientist, We now know how old the universe is. According to their calculation the age of the universe is 13.7 billion years old, This means that everything at that point in time was actually in the same place. The universe must have been extremely hot when it was in its early stage. This we know of because celestial bodies become colder when they become bigger.

I hope that this article doesn't add further confusion about the origin of the universe as there already is today. Many people seem to confuse the idea of the Big Bang Theory with their passed down mystical nonsense. This is the case in cosmology (study of the universe in its totality or the study of “all that is”), it reminds me of biology as Darwin's Theory of Evolution is plagued with the same problem as cosmology. Mystics and alike (religious fanatics for the most part) are always out to confuse people. A good example of this is the Intelligent Design (an assertion that the universe was caused by an intelligent designer.) that harms not only biology (Theory of Evolution) but cosmology (The Big Bang Theory). These combine science with their radical supernatural views, this is pseudoscience at its best. The Big Bang model gives us a simple explanation that the universe begun in an extremely small and hot space and has expanded. The theory gives measurements to show that the universe is still expanding today.

That is all that the theory states, it doesn't concern morality, spirituality or any of that sort. The universe is apathetic.
