The Oldsmobile car is known as the “Car of Firsts.” It was the first in various major car innovations in car history. Oldsmobile was founded by Ransom E. Old in 1897, thus the name Oldsmobile was born. This, however was only a brand name since the cars were made by General Motors Corporation. During the first few years of its release, it became one of the top-selling cars in the United States. It was General Motor's version of luxury and sophistication which were the very features that made it hot in the market. Th first Oldsmobile car, Curved Dash, was the first mass-produced car in 1901. It was also the first American car to be exported in 1901.

Oldsmobile soared to success in the following years with its long line of innovations including the first speedometer, the first rocket engine, the first automatic transmission and the first GPS-based navigation, to name a few, along the way, introducing cars that made their way to history.

It was during the 1970's and 1980's that the Oldsmobile reached the peak of its selling career with the release of the Cutlass and the Cutlass Supreme. These cars were specially famous for their V-8 Rocket Engine.

By the 1990's, sales began to drop and Oldsmobile was no longer popular in the market. General Motors only used Oldsmobile to showcase “futuristic” designs and other experimental designs that had no assurance of making it in the market. Aurora was introduced in the mid-'90s and later became the inspiration of all Oldsmobile models throughout the 1990's.

Finally, after years of poor performance in the market, General Motors finally decided to phase out the Oldsmobile brand in 2004. Th last car that was released was the Alero compact car and from there, Oldsmobile bade goodbye. It became the oldest surviving American automobile marque with its 107 years of car production history.

Oldsmobile has been known and is still being remembered as the first car with unique and innovative styling. And today, these characteristics still show through in all Oldsmobile cars around the globe.

If you are an owner of an Oldsmobile car, you are guaranteed with the unique technology that no other car can offer. Preservation of your Oldsmobile will definitely become your automatic goal. For a car lover like myself, prevention from accidents is my first way of preservation. Of course, without the best and functional Oldsmobile parts, this goal can never be reached.

A car's headlight is often taken for granted but the truth is, it is the one of the most essential parts of a car. Its main purpose is to illuminate the road ahead during periods of low visibility. The sad part is, people don't still get it. Sometimes, one is enough even if the other one is no longer working. Other times, its broken and water goes in it but still you say, “It's okay, I'll get another one tomorrow.” But your tomorrow becomes next week, next month and so on. Little did you know that your defective and inappropriate headlights may cause you troubles you wouldn't imagine to get into.

Approximately 2, 300 people are killed in the U.S. Every year due to the inability of drivers at night, according to the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute. Also, more traffic accidents occur at night than during the day. With this statistics, it is just proper to note the importance of a good headlight. A defective headlight with road chips, surface scratches or condensation may contribute to glare and less visibility while driving. Also keeping your headlights clean can make a great difference. It is also advisable to replace your head lights before it burns out and to carry a spare bulb just in case. Safety should never be compromised.

Headlights have constantly improved towards the years to cater for the needs of consumers ranging from shapes, covers and the types of bulbs that are used.

When choosing your Plymouth headlights, be sure to pick the only the genuine and functional ones. Same should be true when choosing your other Plymouth parts, from your radiators, A/C condensers, oxygen sensors, brakes, fuel injector to your mufflers, headers, floor liners, and even to tiniest parts you could ever think of.

Only the best Plymouth parts can offer solutions to your problems and concerns when it comes to your vehicle. Only opt for the best, no more no less.
