10 Tips to Selling Millions of E-Books

The best way to ensure optimal sales in anything is to constantly promote it. It’s no secret; people who pick good e-book topics and promote their e-books usually do very well. Nearly everyone has some type of specialized knowledge that can be turned into an e-book and marketed on a website for profit. In fact, I am almost certain that you can share with others your knowledge or a certain area of expertise that is needed or wanted. Books prove that knowledge sells, and e-books do even more. E-books are global instantaneously. They are published, packaged and sold easily over the web.

Here are 10 tips for selling your e-books:

1. Put e-book cover in four-color design. Be sure to hire a competent cover designer.

2. Create a title page after the cover with your publishing and copyright information.

3. Create a testimonial page to insert right before your table of contents. Testimonials from the rich and famous, the media, or readers of your previous works, convinces others to buy by their endorsements.

4. Include a list of your other e-books right before the table of contents to widen sales of other publications.

5. Create a table of contents of your chapter titles. Place your complimentary free bonus report title(s) at the end of the table of contents and where the reader can get the complimentary free bonus reports.

6. Put your one page sparkling "mini sales letter" introduction right after the table of contents.

7. Make sure that your fonts are easy to read. Remember that easy to read e-books are the number one way to sell more e-books. Fonts you can use are Arial and Sans Serif fonts for the headings.

8. Place headings at the top and bottom of each page in the header and footer. Put the title and page number at the top, and your name and website URL at the bottom.

9. Put the whole e-book in Portable Document Format (PDF) as well as Microsoft Word. You can edit the Word copy, and allow your customers to download the PDF file unless you offer your e-book via a toll free number.

10. List your products and prices at the end of the e-book along with a page on your other services. You may want to add an annotated table of content for your other e-books at the end.

By including all these parts in your e-book, you increase current customer sales as well as attract new sales.

When it comes down to your e-book, you will discover that as in any service or product, it is only as successful as the plans you have in place to market it. Speaking on your e-book topic, hosting online chats and writing articles on your book’s topic will also increase the bottom line. E-books are powerful tools, as they have the potential to sell just as regular books, but without agents, books deals and publishers.
