They are using you and ruining your internet experience at the same time. Who are they? Well in the case of About:Blank, they are a company based in Russia...Talk about global reach!

Should you be worried? Yes. Simply because if your computer has the 'About:Blank' bug, then it is infected with a variant of the CoolWebSearch malware program. If your computer is infected with one malware, it stands to reason that it could be infected with other Adware/Spyware. Do you download files from the internet? Do you use peer-to-peer file-sharing programs like kazaa? If so, then who knows what else viruses, trojans, spyware, adware, hijackers, keyloggers may also be on your PC. Your personal details...any bank account numbers you store on your PC, any passwords you store on your PC, any personal photos you store on your PC...all of these may very well be accessible to hackers right now!
