Impress Your Lover With A Romantic Colorado Ski Vacation
Valentines Day is coming and you want to do something special your loved one. Why not surprise him or her with a romantic Colorado ski vacation? There is nothing more romantic than spending some time alone with your lover in a cozy Colorado ski resort cuddling next to a warm fire. It is also a lot of fun to spend a romantic day skiing or snowboarding. A Colorado ski vacation offers romance for the woman and adventure for her lover.
Romance in the Colorado Mountains
Obviously the best time to go on a romantic Colorado ski vacation is on Valentines Day in snowy February. However, you may not want to take your romantic ski vacation when everyone else is. The ski mountains of Colorado can blossom romance in your hearts at any time during the winter.
Once you have a ski area selected, try to find out when it is least crowed. Romance can be turned off by crowds. Also, check the weather for the area to avoid extreme cold, strong winds, or storms. Skiing is best on a day with a light, powdery snow fall. And, the beauty of fresh show gives a totally romantic backdrop to your ski vacation.
What To Bring for Skiing and Romance
You can never know exactly what to bring until you know what the ski resort has to offer. Take a few minutes call your resort ahead of time. Ask if they offer ski or snowboard rentals then inquire about what else they may offer. For your romantic Colorado ski vacation, it is best to bring clothes for all occasions. For your outdoor activities, clothing should vary from light, windy weather to heavy snow and cold gear.
Some other things that might think of bringing to heat up the romance are your lover's favorite bottle of wine and glasses, massage oils, and candles. It may sound improbable, but you might want to bring some board or card games just in case you and your lover get snowed into your room and can't think of anything else to do. Not likely, but you should be prepared for anything.
How To Give A Romantic Ski Vacation As A Gift to Your Lover
You could just say, "honey, we are going on a romantic ski vacation in Colorado", but where is the fun in that? Set the mood by sweeping them off their feet with a more romantic approach. If you live in a warm climate you can give them warm mittens and hat to peak their curiosity and then tell them. Or you could give them a framed picture of the the resort you are going to with the Colorado mountains in the background.
A more expensive approach would be to buy your lover skis and a full skiing outfit. To really spice up the moment, you could make a romantic candlelight dinner and use the vacation as a wonderful ending to the evening. Or you could just completely surprise them by hiding their slope ticket somewhere in the room for them to find by accident or to take them there blindfolded.
Anyway you look at it, the Colorado Rockies in the winter is a great place for a romantic ski vacation. Cuddling up together next to a roaring fire after a day on the slopes is one of the best ways to spend time with your lover. What are you doing you doing for Valentines Day?
