Writing has always been a favorite pastime of mine. When I discovered article writing a year ago, the means for expressing myself as well as the ability to share my knowledge with others became possible. This open forum has created a dialogue with my readers, who although unknown to me, create the necessary feedback that drives me to write even more. Moreover, well written and interesting articles can pave the way for much exposure--even to the extent of news related stories and television interviews.

When I started writing articles a year ago, I found a way to express ideas and thoughts that were hovering in my mind for years and even decades. The first ten articles I wrote came out effortlessly. As my fingers pounded the keypad, I watched the computer screen fill with words that were lingering in my head for much time. Of course, after these initial writings, the copious flow stemmed and I needed to work harder to come up with stimulating ideas and reader-worthy content. This difficulty notwithstanding, I forged ahead and continued to try producing articles of a caliber which would earn page views. This task is not always easy to do, but one which is well worth the effort.

For those struggling to get their thoughts into articles, I can suggest some things which might help with the process:

1) Pick a topic that has general interest and then write about it with unusual fervor. Passion injected into writing is picked up by your readers;

2) Once the topic is selected, just start writing about it and get your thoughts down. Many times I fail to do this and then wonder why no words are appearing on the screen. Just write and then worry about the edits later. Often times, you will find that the article requires far less edits than you initially anticipated;

3) Pay attention to the niceties of the English language. Although most people are not familiar with the intricacies of English grammar, a poorly constructed article from a syntactical or grammatical perspective, just reads bad. People will respect your writing more when they observe that you have a command of the written language.

These three simple suggestions can get you on your way to becoming the next article expert. And who knows, you may just get asked to do a news story or television show about one of your articles. Yes that's right. After all, if it happened to me, it can happen to you. Writing and College Essay Preparation
